Our Impact

The heart of our Kiwanis Club of the Adventure Coast club is service. 100% of our proceeds goes right to the children in Hernando County. Below is just a small list of ways we help make an impact. Please consider joining our club to help make a difference in a child’s life.

Kiwanis Adventure Coast proudly sponsors the Pine Grove Elementary K-Kids. This is a Kiwanis Service Leadership Program for primary/elementary school age students. Student members improve their schools and communities — an experience that helps them develop a passion to serve, a desire to lead and the ability to engage and collaborate with others.

Kiwanis Club of the Adventure Coast is a proud sponsor for a Born Learning Trail located at Pine Island. It’s a physical learning activity that’s designed for parents or caregivers to play with young children in any outdoor setting. The Born Learning Trail creates valuable learning opportunities for early childhood learning and offers fun and volunteer engagement for our club too!

You Thrive FL “House to Home” program is a homeownership program that seeks applicants who have a demonstrated need for housing and have the financial ability to own a home, even if they would not qualify for a traditional mortgage. Kiwanis Club of the Adventure Coast provides food for their pantries, as well as, providing other resources for new homeowners.

CETA offers leadership training programs which aid in more qualified and developed people for the workforce, as well as future leader development in and around our county. Kiwanis Club of the Adventure Coast is a proud sponsor of this event.

PHP is an interfaith and secular nonprofit that provides food to children and families in need in Hernando County. Kiwanis Club of the Adventure Coast provides meals for their Sunday Blessings on a regular basis, as well as, assists in providing easy to open and prepared kid-friendly food for children in Hernando County to help keep them fed over the weekend.

All Boys & Girls Clubs of Hernando County programs are based on a youth development strategy that builds self-confidence and self-esteem while fostering a sense of belonging, competence, usefulness, and influence. Kiwanis Club of the Adventure Coast sponsors a Pancake Breakfast with Santa for those who may not otherwise celebrate Christmas.

Kiwanis Club of the Adventure Coast helps support the endeavors of the Foster Care program in Hernando County. Fostering Hope provides homes called Hope House to Foster parents who are interested in fostering siblings in foster care. We also have two “Foster Kidz Closets” where we accept donations for families that are in the foster system. Our primary goal is to help in whatever way we can foster children and their families.

The CHAMP1 Foundation is an organization created for parents of children with developmental delay, hypotonia, cerebral palsy, autism, and epilepsy among many other diagnoses a result of a change in the CHAMP1 gene.
