Have you been looking to do some volunteering for good causes in your community? Do you like helping kids, having fun and feeling like you made a difference? Why not consider joining us and become a member of our Kiwanis club?
In our Kiwanis club, our members improve children’s lives. We take part in community service projects. We raise money for great causes. Most importantly, we enjoy the company of our friends and fellow leaders.
Our club was started on August 4, 2015 by Bev Reso, Lt. Gov for Division 8 (2014-2015). Chuck Gugliuzza, Florida District Gov. (2014-2015) installed the charter board. Maria Sanvenero was our club’s first President.
The reason the club was formed as the first 3-2-1 club here in Hernando County was because we noticed that too many good members had left Kiwanis due to work and time constraints. A 3-2-1 club meeting at 7:30 in the morning was a perfect fit.
Club Particulars
Our club is for busy people whose schedules make it hard to attend club meetings frequently. After all, most folks are as committed as ever to service and community involvement. Life is busy.
The Kiwanis Adventure Coast Club is an excellent option for people with demanding schedules. The 3-2-1 club is also a good fit for those who prefer a membership that emphasizes activities and projects outside of meeting rooms.
Who We Are
Kiwanis Club of The Adventure Coast is a group of volunteers dedicated to serving the children of Hernando County. We are a registered 501c4 Non-Profit Organization. We are proud to say that 100% of the money raised goes to the children of Hernando and 100% of our members are paid volunteers.
Our focus is fundraising and working with other organizations in the community. We raise money through events such as our Boots and Pearls Casino Night. We also sponsor and volunteer with many other local organizations including the Hernando County YMCA, You Thrive House to Homes, CETA, People Helping People, Boys & Girls Club, United Way Hernando, and sponsoring K-Kids at Pine Grove Elementary.
The Kiwanis Mission & Vision
Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children. Kiwanis strives to be a positive influence in communities worldwide — so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them and provide the support they need to thrive. Our Kiwanis club fulfills the Kiwanis mission by serving our community through KiwanisCommunity Service Projects
